is this a fixable problem?

the pics are of the upper hinge on my drivers side door. the door has busted in one place where the hinge bolts on. the other two bolts are holding fine and the door shuts well.

i'm at least a few years away from a new paint job, so i'd like to save the door.

can i take the door off and patch it and prime it?

how about tack welding that hinge on the door until it's time to paint?

ideas?

thanks.

Look's like someone already welded it once .. I just did this on my blazer .. All I did was weld the door back together and called it good..
