Exclamation Exhaust Gasket

NO REALLY EASY WAY TO DO IT. WHEN I REDID MINE I DID ONE SIDE AT A TIME. I UNKOOKED MY HEADERS FROM THE PIPE AND JUST TOOK THE BOLTS OUT THEN PUT THE GASKET IN USING ONE BOLT ON EACH END TO KEEP IT IN PLACE. BUT I GUESS THE MAIN DIFFERENCE IS THAT I DO NOT HAVE ANY EMMISIONS ON MY 86 BLAZER. I GET A EXSEMPTION EVERY TWO YEARS FOR IT.

On my '86 GMC I had to replace both manifold gaskets and the doughnut gaskets. If you are replacing the do-nut gaskets, keep in mind there will probably still be a metal ring tucked up in the manifold. I learned this the hard way when I couldn't get the new gasket to seat right. When I did the other one, the ring practicaly fell out so I knew what was wrong with the first one, but it didn't leak so I hoped it would work. It did..... for about 2 days.
