Unhappy Mouse House

Check it out!
Little guy had quite a home in my 70 4x4. The truck sat for three years before I bought it...how many mice came outta mama's belly from this condo?
Talk about stink...wow! Ruined my heater core to. Had to drop the inner fender to change it out, and of course broke a fender bolt in doing so.
Never even realized it until the first drive after it was home and running. My poor little girl who was dying for the first ride almost got sick, she rode all the way back with her head hanging out the window (not funny but funny)
Anyway, thought I'd share the Mouse House before the gloves go on...

You must of had a smallblock in that truck LMAO, I had a wee field mouse that was my shop mascott for one winter, I started feeding him and found that he prefered swiss cheese over cheddar (LOL)! I was a little concerned he might tell all his mouse buddies about my shop but thankfully he kept his new pad all to himself! Regards Doug

Not animal related, but the blower motor seal on my truck had rotted so everytime it was on it sucked in leaves, etc and all those leaves got blown up against the heater core! When I pulled the heater box out to change the heater core(rusted), I'd say a pound of leaves fell out of it !

I have 2 cats that keep the critters around here from getting too close. Mice, Squirrels, birds and even on one occasion I saw one of them chace a fox out of the woods. Couldnt believe that one myself, but I was just sitting on my front porch and all of a sudden a fox wizzed by me and not even a second later the cat was tailing it.

Mouse Dom...

Turns out the little guy was into the cowl also, spent about an hour flushing the system as it were but all ended well.
I tore everything out, heater core, fan motor and even the carpet.
When doing all this I repaired all my A/C vacuum controlled parts and now everything works again. Replaced all the hoses and t's.
Come to find the door that closes for heat/cool wasn't closing all the way, so I would have had heat all summer, now that's fixed correctly too.
Maybe I should thank the little fella...? NOT!

Hey be glad it was a little mouse and not a hornets nest like I found in my hay baler.
Not funny but did not smell too bad! 7 stings and very itchy for about 4 days.
