The new 250 is in!!!

Here is the 250 inline that I bought from board member "Bowtie468". Motor and three-speed set me back a whole hundred bucks...

Several gaskets, seals and paint cans later, this is how it turned out. Runs fine. Still needs a little tweeking, but no real issues so far.

The air cleaner....that came with the motor when I got it from Chris (bowtie468). I figure, when I put the booster on for the power drums, my factory one won't fit anyway, so....When the weather turns colder, I will get around to putting a new heater core in (mine has a hole...go figure).

I6 lovers: I have a 69 C10 with an I6 and a three speed tranny I'm putting a small block and auto tranny in. I will be pulling the motor and trans late August/September if anyone is interested in the motor. Runs good, new carb, all original. Comes with everything except the alternator.

Interested: PM me. I'm in Dayton, Ohio.

I used to do some dirt track racing years ago. One of the classes we eaced was a 6 cyl. I can show you some pretty neat ways to make a 250 bad to the bone.I.E. cut the piece in the ports that protect the bolt ,counter sink the bottom bolt hoe use allen head bolt .Plug the top and you have 2 times the port size. There is more!

Ohhhhh. Do tell.....I have a spare 250 (the one I took out) that I am thinking about going through and rebuilding for my parts truck. I can experiment with it. I need sketches or something. I like "unexpected" power.
Tell 'em it's a 250
Watch them snicker
Then light those tires...hehehehe

What ever, Kat. Did you get your Z-71 from Kentucky? I saw you were the winning bid!?!? That costs a little more than those taillights, huh???

Yeah and you didn't seem to complain much. I'll have to trade the taillights from the new to the old, so give me headlights I'll give you little more.........

For anyone who doesn't know....Kitty is this spicy little number from Oregon. She needs truck parts for her truck. She would rather trade than purchase ......so.....if you have parts she can use, she'll trade ya' for parts you can use. (did that sound dirty to anyone else? Sorry Kat) Really, she is a sweet truck chick that is trying to fix up her 4X4. That was not supposed to sound dirty fellas.

Back to the motor issue. Years back there was a local fellow who ran a 292 in a car at the local dirt track races. He ran against the V8's with no problem at all. Nothing at all wrong with inlines.
