What air cleaner stickers to use on BB??
Which stickers are correct for the air cleaner for a 70 GMC 396/402 big block engine, auto trans??? GM says it's a 396 cid with 310 hp, but I can't find a sticker that states that. A good picture of the proper stickers installed would be GREAT!! Any comments...

The only sticker the cleaner gets is the "keep your GM truck all GM". The horsepower stickers as far as I know were only used on the cars, except some of the GMC trucks with the invader series engines, but these were stickers on the valve covers. GM all GM is only one ...... You should have the tonawanda sticker on the pass. valve cover, front top... Just looked at the post again Check with LMC about their GMC invader v/c stickers. Your truck should have the emissions sticker for 396, GM did not start calling the 396 a 402 until 71, they used the larger cubes to meet 71 emissions standards, bigger bore less compression.

Thanks for the help. I haven't seen an air cleaner with stickers that I thought were factory original, to know for sure what was supposed to be there. Do you have any pictures of the valve cover sticker? Greg

I will have to see if I can borrow a dig camera and take some photos. Any luck on photos of your build sheet, if you can get them and some dimensions maybe I can give it a try.

No, I haven't been able to get a picture good enough when you can read it. Don't know what to try next. I have seen others on e-bay listed for specific cars, maybe one can be modified after scanning it. Any ideas??? Greg

Maybe if you can give me a pic of what it looks like rough or what ever as long as I can see the columns assigned to each part maybe I can use an later model for the dimensions or maybe you can tell me the title assigned to each cell, because new ones are simply produced on a spreadsheet fomat and the codes are plugged into the cells as they fall... Anyone else have any ideas?

Greg that would be great, try to get as much on the cells as possible- I have a handbook on the option codes but there may be some things that I do not have info for. Maybe we can make a run at this build sheet, and kick its butt!!!! Harold

Greg started messing with the door decal and have everything saved except when I go to shapes in word the inside oval (thick, black line) gets lost when I add the text box, I will work some more and see if I can get it done. Harold
