Are the marker lights supposed to work?
69 GMC 3/4 2wd, I noticed none of the side marker lights worked, I looked at the front 2 and I didn't see the wiring for them the one housing had a hole to plug the light into, but the other housing was sealed up, no way to illuminate it at all. I thought the side lights were required starting in 1968, or was that just for the cars?

reflectors only until 70 or 71, deluxe models may have gotten lighted reflectors in 69 but definately not standard across the line until after 69

Even in 68, not all the cars had marker lights...my '68 cougar only had lights in the front...the rear was just reflectors.
In 68 and 69 there was an optional side marker light, but base models had reflectors. The only way that you would get a truck in 68 or 69 and it automaticly got markers was if you got a one ton cab/chassis with daul rear tires...those trucks got manditory clearance lights on top of the cab and also side markers (only front ones though). |

Get some replacements from a later model full size van and you can have lighted ones.

And some of the earlier vans will have the style marker that was on the CST of Cheyenne trucks...and less likely to be faded too.

If you want lighted markers I have some amber and red non-deluxe ones I'd sell really cheap. They are used, but are good for a driver, not show quality. I can send pics. I might have the bulb holder and wiring too.
