Lockout hub questions
I've got a 72 Blazer Dana model that had Superwinch lockouts on it.
Bearings went bad and I had a brand new set of Warn lockouts given to me. According to the Warn site, these are the "premium" lockouts. I rebuilt the axle with new bearings and u-joint. First problem was the lockouts didn't have the set of 6 allen head screws to screw the outer cap on and the Superwinch screws are too big. 2nd problem is I couldn't seem to get the lockout hub back far enough to get the c-clip in the end of the axle. The Warn site lists a spindle hub nut set for these lockouts. My question is (finally), have any of you installed these Warn hub lockouts and had to use different spindle hub nuts??

I believe the screws should have been in there. I have changed over from automatic locking hubs to the warns and had no problems. Never done an older axle.

Thanks Mudder.
I got it put in today and found me some screws at the local hardware store. I don't know what Warn would have charged, but I got 12 screws for 84 cents. Can't beat that...
