Cruise messed up

Hey guys, I was driving home tonight, and decided to put the truck on cruise (fixed the cruise leak at the brake pedal) anyways, I hit the button, and the servo sucked my throttle to WOT, and it kept accelerating till I finally hit the brake once it hit about 80 mph... Any idea why it'd do that? I was already going about 70 mph, but yeah, it wasn't planning on stopping, lol, and my engine really didn't like that much gas either, (truck has some MAJOR carb issues right now, it'll literally die if you hit the gas when it is cold) and was belching blue smoke out, lol

The Tach dash should be here any day, I've got the packaging ready to go, just need to pull my bezel out, put it in the box, and drive to the post office.

You know you can cap that vaccum setup that goes to the brake setup its just a secondary realease . I belive i would go pull on the cruise servo and see if it will hang improper adjustment could cause some problems i found that about a 1/16 - 1/8 or play is a good starting point

Hmm, the rod from the servo to the carb is pretty much solid, I'll back it off a bit and see if that helps. I think it might be a problem with the box on my fender. I'm not so worried about it as I'll be swapping to TPI right away. Another new development is that my speedo is suddenly about 30 km/h out, I had that thing on my fender apart to see if it had a VSS that I could use for the TPI, but I soon discovered that I couldn't, so I can only imagine that I wrecked something in it.
