Moving the gas tank
There are probably hundreds of threads about moving the tank out of the cab but the search function is turned off.
My truck is in the body shop (got rear-ended last month) with a buckled cab and damaged fuel tank, among other things. I figure now is the perfect time to convert the gas tank. I'd like to hear from folks who've made the switch and what kit they used or what method works best. I have a stepside with the spare on the fender. Standby for more questions... Thanks y'all.

I am doing mine right now. I have my wiring run for the fuel pump and sender. Yesterday I unbolted my bed so I could pull it off and have easier access, tonight the bed will be lifted off.
I am going with a FCG tank, I will be running TPI so it has an internal electric fuel pump. I have a short fleet. If you look in the FAQ section jorgensensc has a thread where he put a Blazer tank under his short step side. Here is the link: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php3?t=74876 Shawn

Fuel Fill in Side Marker
If you are doing the conversion, you will need to think about where to put the fuel fill neck. Here is a link on the hidden side marker.
Marker Fuel Door This is another link for a fleet side. Fleet Marker The only complaint I have with my conversion, is how slow it takes fuel. REAL SLOW. Its worth it to get the tank out of the cab. If you change your mind and need a "in cab tank", I have one, like new, cheap. Have fun...Kelly
