Main Power Wire
I replaced my battery in my Burb yesterday. Anyways, I found out that the wire that connects to the positive terminal is the main power wire. It comes from a junction connection next to the battery. Would not it be wiser to run this wire to the solenoid on the starter?? I beleive the truck should still run with battery removed, at least my '76 GMC 4x4 did...
Thanks, Chris |

Hooking the wire to the starter is just a cleaner way of doing it, but makes starter replacement just a bit more irritating.
Either way you run the wire, the engine will run with no battery as long as your alt is working. |
