Power Steering conversion

What all is needed for a 72 C30 with manual steering?

I have the box and pitman arm from a 76 C30

get you a power steering pump with pulley and brackets, the two hoses, and a belt.

Cool, got those on the 488 going into the truck...

How about steering linkages? Will they bolt on?

I see the catalogs call for a different adjusting sleeve for PS?

No linkage issues at all. The only difference is the pitman arm, which you already have the p/s one, so you're set.

So when I'm hunting this weekend, what years should I look to get the steering box and pitman arm from? I guess the newer the better, but where's the cutoff year?

Guess I should look for the fitting for the rear of the pump, too, so I can screw it into my serpentine-setup PS pump, like Tx Firefighter recommends, so I won't need custom hoses.

You need a pickle fork and a BFH (Big Freakin hammer) I have a pickle fork that goes in an air hammer and makes the job real easy.

Or a 2-3 jaw puller that requires no hammer to slam into steering components...
