Do you know what this is???
I had a bunch of stuff powder coated for this '70 4x4 we're working on and now I can't figure out what one of the pieces is. It's possible it doesn't even go to this truck (3 projects going at the same time), but I'm reasonably sure it does. Just can't figure out where it goes or what it is. Let me know if you can help.
Thanks in advance

I think he is right. That is the bracket that bolts to the firewall and then the steering column clamps to it.

That's sorta what I was thinking too. Bolts down on the floor under the column seal (on the outside)? I vaguely remember this being a pain to remove when I took the truck apart to start with. I think there is a clamp that goes around it too. Anyway, let me know if we're on the right track here. Post a picture if you have one so I can get a visual.

It bolts to the firewall righ under the booster bracket. I am pretty sure that one of the bolts is for both that bracket and the support bracket for the booster. There is a clamp that holds the steering column to it as well.

Thank's guys. With your info on location and purpose, I was able to locate it in one of the manuals and find a drawing of exactly how it fits and works.
