I am putting my TPI on my truck. The exhaust guy welder my O2 sensor bung on 9 inches below my rams horn. In all honesty that is about the best place for it with frame and clutch linkage clearance.
Will this be OK with a standard O2 sensor? Or will I need to get a heated version?

I think you should be OK with that. O2's need 600 degrees of exhaust temperature to work.

What`s an O2 sensor?

Do a search for Denso O2 sensors.
They seem to hold up very well to leaded (racing) gas if you would ever need to do that.

If in doubt, get the heated version. Its worth the extra couple of bucks rather than have her not run...

How is your TPI coming along anyways? Mine seems to be a bottomless money pit... Over 1000 cnd into it so far, and nothing to show for it

I'm waiting on the seller to send me a new set of injectors, the electronics he "forgot" / got wrecked during shipping. Can't believe this guy, he said in his auction it was complete minus two relays. It got here with all the sensors installed on the TPI itself, but he didn't send ANY of the important modules or relays that are suppost to be on the wiring harness, only sent two emissions solenoids... Aye, so long as he fixes it, and gets his butt in gear doing it. I've been waiting for almost half a month now, I wanted this thing up and running before sept 1, but that isn't happening now for sure...

I'm upgrading to an 86 computer right away, so I get the higher baud rate, and reliablity.
