What was the stock carb on a 68 307 or 327?

Title says it all. 68 1/2 ton with 307 or 327.
Thanks in advance.

Skokie, I have bought tons of those 2 barrel Rochesters off of the parts board here. Post a WTB ad and you'll get plenty of offers.

Expect to pay 20 or 30 bucks for a carb. But, don't even consider shipping a manifold if you find one for sale somewhere. They weigh a ton.

Yup, that's what's on that 'Burb of mine, and it looks like original equipment to me. Is that the 307 in the picture? I thought the 327's had the oil filler tube up front by the thermostat housing. Actually, I thought the 307's did also.

The 1968 rochester 4 bbl. # is 7028213 327 All
1968 rochester 2bbl. # is 7028105 307 1/2 ton early 68
7028107 307 3/4 ton early 68
7028125 307 1/2 ton late 68
7028127 307 3/4 ton late 68
7028217 396 all
These are listed for 1968 out of a parts casting book that I have. I hope this helps. It has other engine part casting #s as well. Let me know if there is anything else that I can help with. I'd be happy to.

Original 307 V8....

oil filler tube is located at the rear of the driver's side valve cover. The "support rod" for this filler tube is attached to one of the intake manifold bolts.

and it you put a 4 bbl intake on a 307 with a well tuned q-jet, they almost run as hard as the 327's
