Swap single rear wheels to duals??????

How hard is it to convert a single rear wheel 3/4 ton to a dually? I'm just curious 'cause I've got a set of 6 dually wheels and was wondering if it was worth trying. The tires have around 60% of tread left so they'd be good for a while. One thing I know I'd have to do is get outer fenders for the bed(long fleet). I was wondering, would fenders off of a 9ft stepside work? Theres a 3/4 or 1 ton stepside at the junkyard here with some really nice, undented fenders on it.

Thanks

i'm in the process of building one. i've heard that the back wheels will just bolt on. and the front ones you'd have to get dually hubs. at the hardest you'd have to replace front and rear hubs with dually hubs and bolt on your wheels.

OK, cool! I wanted to know before I went ahead and did anything. I like the look of regular 8 lug steel rims, but someone asked me if I was gonna convert it to a dually and I liked the idea so I wanted to see how it looked.

Thanks
