yep, they make bag cups that are direct replacement for our factory coils, check out Air Ride, or Air Lift, or any other pre-fab bag manufacturer

thats a nice kit I have seen many people use that style of bag brackets but all of them have custom made thier own. Who sells that kit? I would be interested in purchasing one to re-do my front bags.

Air Ride makes great stuff, but they're just too expensive.

Air Ride front kit for 63-87 C-10 (ARF11800)
Firestone bags
upper plates
lower cups
bump stops
shocks
mounting hardware
$525

*****************
Air Lift company bags $130/pr
mounting plates/cups $60/set
bump stops $10/pr from Jegs
mounting hardware $15 from Lowe's
shocks $60 from Summit
$275 total

That's $250 less than the Air Ride kit. Do the math! That Air Ride sticker sure is expensive!

Hell man I can get you Slam Specialties bags, Exteme valve, Viair compressor, a tank and line for a good deal man. I sell all these products and im in Texas. Plus if you want to run lowered shocks you can got to 4wheel parts and get toxic shocks, and I even think they have the bump stops.

No offense but Toxic Shocks are the worst lowered shock made.

I can't say anything bad about the other guys, but I can tell you the extra money spent with Air Ride is worth it to me. They are a top notch operation with a quality product.....

Cheaper is not always better.....

I have a few more questions

1) Does my 69 Suburban get the same airbag in the front and rear?
2) Does anyone offer a complete kit for the Suburban that is fairly priced?
3) Does anyone know anything about Contitech air bags? or what ones do you perfer.

Thanks in advance for you answers, This is a great site with great people on it!

Hey BIGCHEVYMAN Awesome pickup!

:word: I liked my ART stuff and I paid about $150 less than what retail was on the ART kit. If I had it to do over I probably would have gotten the SD setup as I know thier stuff is top notch.

By the same token, expensive doesn't always mean better quality. I'm not knocking AirRide...Brett is a great guy and they make a great product. But when quality is equal (as is the case here), I'll take the less expensive option. Of course, if you're happy with AirRide, by all means stick with them. They do make nice stuff, no doubt about it.

AirRide does have that sweet BigRed Air Valve I like. I'll be ordering it from them unless I can find a comparable piece (or have my own made).

And to answer the question about brackets for the rear of a coil spring truck, the answer is no. Drill two mounting holes on the frame, enlarge the hole where the spring bolted on, and bolt the bag in place. Of course, AirRide sells a bracket kit if you want.

What is the benefit of running Slam Speciaties bags over Firestone or AirLift bags? I don't need to hop my truck or anything, just looking for the best ride and amount of lift.

The benefit beside being able to hop is that you will get the best ride and lift out of a slam bag. You get better lift out of a slam bag because when you fill it it does not ballon like the other bags it just goes up. Which means you can get more lift with less pressure. The ride is just like in a caddy man.

How bad do bags leak

I was talking to this guy who installs air bag systems, He said that alot of the time the bags leak out over night and your Burb will be on the frame in the morning, He also said that most people bleed out the air on purpose. But they have special bump stops on the frame. I also have a question on what air bags to use where. Do I use 2500 or 2600 on my 69 Burb.
