Sure wouldn't be boost, because there's one mounted in the dash. I dunno why ANYONE would do an external mount in this day & age...he coulda got a pillar pod and been stealthy.
Eric, don't race the L...get your shiz tuned and dialed-in, then git-r-dun.

Because they don't want to run a "fuel" line inside the cab....

Eric we can asume the Lightning isn't stock. What are his mods and what does he "say" it runs. Get me a list of mods and I can give you an idea what he really runs unless you already know.

Bottom line here is if he has very many bolt ons he could be in the 12's. Probably not though. I see he doesn't have any traction bars. Without them he won't be able to hook up enough to get much lower than mid/low 13's...

Just run it him anyway, maybe he cant drive for $hit ha ha. A stock lightning here runs low 15's so you shouldnt be too far off

Maybe the older ones but the ones with the supercharger run 13.5-13.3 stock! Eric, what year model is it? If its a 2000+ it's supercharged.

You didn't notice he said they run 15's "here". That's because he is in Denver. Everything is slower there because of the alltitude....

Sorry didn't notice he said here and is in Denver, but would altitude make a 2 second difference? Also with very little mods they can hit mid 12's easy.

rebuilt because it had something wrong? Or rebuilt because he wanted more power? If its for power, you get owned, because internal engine work generally means your ready to make SERIOUS power hehe.

They may have been but I don't think they were produced in '96-98. I could be wrong. I know they all of a sudden became a big thing in trucks a couple years back when I owned a turbo buick.

I believe they were also offered with a 351W or something that was not supercharged.

I raced a Lightning this past Sat night. Come to find out he had the lower pully swap and a few other bolt-ons. He started to pull me through the top of 2nd gear. They usually have bad traction problems.
If you have good traction race him from a dig, otherwise he'll probobly hand it to you from a roll.
Do you know your trucks 1/4 mi. trapspeed?
BTW, the guy I raced was running 14 psi of boost. I think stock is like 8-10.
It's getting harder to find stock Lightnings!
