Hey Dean, 1500 mile update!
Well many of you all will remember I picked up the 3/4 ton 4wd GMC Dean was selling. Got the truck near the end of Feburary. Had to put a new cab/bed on. Titled the truck the first week in April, since then I've put 1500 miles on her. All I did to the drivetrain was top off the fluids, rebuild the front axle and got rid of the headers. I pulled the plugs today and was really suprised they looked great. The truck pulls strong (4.56 gears help) not good for the highway though, about 60 is my limit. The truck was actually a GMC sitting on a 71 Chevy chassis/drivetrain, therefore I plan on swapping it back to Chevy status, The cab/bed came from a 70 C20 camper special and because I now have Chevy fenders/grill thanks to Randy (Randy70C-10). I also need to thank some other guys for parts I got for this truck-Dubie(manifolds),Teeitup(pass side manifold),67SSS(rearend plug),Ljbear(bed to frame brackets). Thanks!
Just thought I'd share! Almost forgot! Thanks to Dean and his brother Brad!

Hit the link in my signature it's the green truck. No shots from the front as it's kinda ugly. But after I get the fenders/hood/grill on I'll post some more.

Great to hear!! I always thought that was a good engine. I almost put it in another truck years ago. I wish I had because the one I used didn't make it a year....lol. I'm glad someone gave that truck what it deserved. I wish I had some pics of the sad looking thing setting in the barn when we found it. Or pics when I remember it running around this area when I was in middle school.

It looks like a complete different truck to me. I wanna know how you got that 4X4 on a car dolly. When I dollied my C-30 from Memphis to Milwaukee, it didn't want to stay on because the wheels never sat in the spot for the wheels, they rode on the outside edges by the fenders for the dolly wheels. I know a 4X4 front axel is wider than a 2WD, so that must have been a fun trip

What we did was let the air out of the tires, strapped them down then put air back in the tires. No tight turns! The dolly was chained to the front axle also. We only went 650 miles.
The only thing I kept of the original body was the core support, cab/fenders/bed were scrapped. Bought a 70 AC cab/bed w/o dog house.
