Has anybody shaved their drip rails??

I was looking at my 68 cab last night and was thinking of shaving the drip rails, but it looks as though the ridge on the A pillat will be sticking out past the edge of the roof if the rails are removed?? Do you remove the sides and the front rails, or leave the front rail??
Anybody have any pointers??
