I bought a used set of Bell Tech spindles for somewhere around $100 on
E-bay. The only problem was the guy did a lousy job on packaging and the threads on one of the spindles got dorked up. I'v had them on about 9 months with no problems. Make sure you get the correct rotor size. When you change rotor size you have to replace the bearings, calipers, and rotors. |

I got my DJM 3" Spindles from Summit for $225 shipped. It depends on what size rotors you have. I have the 1¼" ones, I think the 1" ones are more $$

My dropped 80 Blazer has DJM 3" dropped spindles from Stylin Concepts. I have 1/14 rotors. I bought them over a year ago. They were about $189.00 US dollars but soon after that they jumped to $230. I got lucky I guess. The freight and US exchange killed me though. Had to grind a bit off for clearance but otherwise no problems. Good quality. I have 2.5 dropped springs too. Still rides good.

I have 3" B/T spindles on my '87 got 'em 16 yr's ago from belltech for 389 bux
But that was when Belltech was the only Mfg. of droped spindles. Like the othes mentioned go measure the rotor thickness to be shure you know if you have a light or heavy duty break system befor you order them. Iv'e also used western chassis droped spindles on my S10 without any problems! I just lowered my '99 Tahoe last week and i used B/T spindles on it when i was shoping around on the net i found that DJM spindles were alot higher in price than Belltech i paid 189 bux for 'em the DJM unit's were going for about 280 bux. |

How about 2.5" spindles.
Macspring.net has them for about $210 or $220 shipped. McGaughy's has them for $199.

i've heard about the drop spindles causing the LCA's to have sevre stress put on them to the point of braking, is this only the case in the 88+ trucks, because i have seen it on my friend 90, or does it do this to all LCAs no matter the year or make of the truck?

It hasen't happened to me in 16 yr's my '87 has been lowered and i even trimed the hell out of the LCA lip!
My S10 is a '92 and nothing there either! Like i said earlier i just lowered my '99 Tahoe a week ago so that's unknown but i dont think it will have a problem there either. May be your friend did some thing wrong for that to happen iv'e never heard of that happening befor at all. |

bell tech used to, i don't know if they still do, but a stiffining plate that welded onto the bottom of the LCA's on 88+ trucks when you used droped spindles, might just try a droped A-arm and springs to be on the safe side
