Diesel Conversion
Has anyone attempted to put the 6.2 litre Diesel from the 82 into the 67-72 body style? Would you anticipate much work required to do so other then motor mounts, fuel system?

I'm thinkin' pretty hard about doin' that too. I personally have had good luck with 6.2s and figure on owning another someday.

I agree with Longhornmail! I had one in a 83 GMC, in my opion,it is junk! If I was going to spend the money, and take the time to do something like this, I would go with the 7.3 POWERSTROKE! It is not a ford engine, it is Navastar! I own one, it has 175000 on it, and the only thing I ever had to do so far was put a water pump on it, 3 belts, and change oil and fuel filter.
my 2 cents worth sam
