Retail: Painless Harness, $375! NOT UNIVERSAL
Ok ladies and gents,
I picked up my painless system at AutoZone tonight. I talked to the manager last week about price, he agreed to 10% off of their retail price of $445. That got things down to like $405... which from summit's price of $495, i was super thrilled... well, before I leave, he says "well, i can probably do a lil better than that... lemme check my cost..." I went in today to pick it up, he says how 'bout $375 + tax! If i can help anyone out in getting one, I would love to ship one to ya... but, if you are thinking about getting one, DO IT, the kit is awesome and all i've done is open the box!!! |

That is an excellent price on an excellent kit. Mine fits like a glove, the wires are longer, and EVERYHING is labeled...you almost don't need instructions.
I wish I could have saved $100 on my kit when I bought it.

Awesome price.
I've been thinking of getting a painless wiring kit for a little while now but since I work at an electronics assembly company I'm leaning more towards making my own. We build harnesses for all kinds of products so we have all the crimping tools and everything to make it work. All I need is some detailed pics of the painless wiring harness just to see how they have it laid out so I can have an idea of how they have it done. If you happen to have or can get detailed pics of your harness I'd like to see them. With the discounts I can get on the connectors and wire, I can probably assemble the wiring for less than $50, then I'd just need to shop around to find a replacement fuse block. And since I have plenty of contacts to get it done, I just can't see spending so much on one that someone else builds when I can build one just as good.

What part # did you get? 10205? If so, that's not too bad of a price.
