Hi Brian, thanks for posting the pics! I'm moving back to Northern Ontario in about 2 weeks (been out west for 25 years) and will be looking for my next driver/project after christmas. Whats the pickins like back there? What are the wreckers like also? My 69 is a west coast truck (had almost O rust) I guess you have to look around more back there eh? Thanks Doug

Hey Doug, Where aboots ya moving to in Ontario? You prolly would be best to bring stuff from out west with ya. You might be able to find a few trucks in feilds/junkyards that may have useable parts but most are WAY to far gone to be saved for much else then their titles/Vin plates. Junkyards are (at least were I'm located) crushing anything older then '75-'80 generally. So that leaves the possiblity of finding 67-72 Trucks on the rare side but at least if you look you can still find parts and pieces from 'em. At least at the Barrie Market everything there that was for sale (pretty much everything...for a Price tho) was pretty much over $6000-7000 ish for just driver quality really. You can still find a few amateur resto's up for sale in the autotrader's that would make good driver's for decent $$$. Brian

nice pics Brian. Were there many parts for our trucks there? I thought about going today, but I thought it would probably just be a tease, since I can't afford much right now anyway :p

How ya doin'? Actually for as big as it was I didn't see a whole lot for our trucks. It may have been because I went Sat. and most of the good stuff was gone by Friday Night? Lots of solid Passenger Fenders and 69-72 Chev Grilles, a few sets of solid doors. I was surprised there wasn't much in the way of little stuff like trim items. I was hoping to possibly pick up some deluxe tailgate trim...but it didn't happen. A few nice trucks to see there tho. LOTS of cars of course too. Brian

yeah, that's what i've found the last couple years...there's tons of stuff there, but not that much for 67-72's. But then again, it started thursday night, so maybe everything was already gone like you said.

Thanks Brian: I'm moving back to Capreol (@ 20 min. north of Sudbury) I will miss a couple of truck buddies I've met through this board, 67cst (Derek) & MandarinSixSeven (Benson) a couple of great guys with beautiful trucks. There are some real "High End" prostreet, showtrucks, muscle cars, hotrods ect. here so it will be different, most guys are into sleds where I'm headed (that might be cool to buy a beater ski-doo and hot-rod it, ). I still have a few things left to do on my 69, clutch, shocks, inner fenders, and stereo sys. so I'd like to address them before I get my next project/driver. Regards Doug

Those are original utility buckets. They were the 'low end' factory buckets.

the other thing about Sunday's I hear tho is you'll get a lot of Price slashing as most vender's don't wanna take stuff home with 'em. So a good deal could still be had I suppose.

that '68 is nice. I don't think I have ever seen a '68 with the bump style roof markers.
it has the wrong hubcaps too, and those wheels look big. factory 16.5s? hmm
