Two things they can never take away from you - your education and the pride of such a great job restoring your first truck.
Sorry to hear you had to sell your wheels, but I am glad to see that you have your priorities right.

Nice truck! And as was said before, good to see you have your priorities straight. Get your education and then a good job and you can get yourself another one.

yeah i guess. i think the guy pretty much stole it from me, but i did get 1000 more than what was bid on ebay. i was pretty sad when it sold, but the best part about it was building it, so now i have a 66 dodge crew that i am helping my dad with. and i am wondering if i have my priorities right because as of now college sucks. i think i would rather be working, but oh well.

dittos on college plan
Pick something you like and stick with it. College never hurt anyone and very often helps even if down the road a few yrs. All jobs/ field of work should be something you enjoy and you look forward to getting out of bed to go do. You can start with major in something and change directiosn to, alot of the basics will transfer. A 4 yr college degree isn't for everyone but I might agrue that on value of at least 2 years. It goes way beyond the classroom teachings. I was in a very good program and one of the things they beat into us was we were going to leave "knowing how to learn" not having learned it all in school.
I wish I had never sold my first 71 chevy but would probably do it again. I traded one of my best last week (72 loaed cheyenne) and miss it and always will but I had a good reason that was best fit for situation.

What the others echo'd. Don't put it off. Trust me, 32 years of attending college and I'll finally have my BS (the offical kind) in December. I always, and still could find a way to delay it, but it gets harder and harder to get back into it. If you keep delaying it, they tend to find away to make old classes not be worthy any more and make you retake them. You'll never regret having education. It's hard to sell a vehicle with that much into it, but we can always build again. It's real hard to make up for lost education. Trust me!!!!!!!

I sold my first truck, a '76 1/2 ton, so I could make down payment on my first house. Worked sliggin' hash for 10 years just to get my bachelors degree. Hurt at the time but now I'm working at something I love, getting paid well for it, and I have the truck to boot! You keep makin' smart choices and you'll have a garage full of 'em if you want.

I hate to see you sell the truck, but you Definately made the right decision. I'm sure that in 4 or 5 years, we can find you another truck.
