AM to FM converter - anyone used one?
Has anyone used this set up? Wonder if these are why the AMs are beginning to sell so well?

I had one in high school attached to the tube AM radio in an old Buick. It worked pretty good when I was dating the girl who later became my wife.
That may also have something to do with the bench seat that was the size of a couch. |

I used one in a '65 truck before. Works really well. I hid mine in the glove box. They are about the size of an 8-track tape.....assuming you remember what that is.

Yep, probably still got a couple laying around from my high school days. I was amazed how good some AM setups sounded when fed a static-free FM signal. I remember one that pulled in stations that other AM/FM units couldn't pick up.

My 72 c10 that I purchased from a man who had owned it for 27 years had an identical converter in it. I took it out and gave it to my brother to use in his 69 k20. It worked fine but I like my CD player in the glove box much better.

I have an old FM/8track player if anyone is interested! Still works!
Come on now, don't everyone speak up at once.
