My new ride ! (with pics)
Well, some of you guys may have remember me starting a new project a few months back ?!?! It came to a stop when another guy from this site had posted this truck on the parts board "for sale" . He lived in Ky. and we made a trade on my project and his truck . It wasn't all the way finished and needed a few kinks worked out of it , but , it was really close . I can't take alot of credit for it . It has a 454 bigblock and a four speed tranny . A/C , power brakes , power steering . The tires are 285/75/16 . It's titled a 1972 , but has a 1971 cab , you can tell by the rear veiw mirror . Has a Danna rear end with 4.11 gears . Has a painted to match sprayed in bed liner . Nothing really special about the truck , its a great driver and it looks great too . Please don't start e-mailing me alot of quesions about the BB engine in the truck . I'm still recooperating from the sidemarker gas filler !!! *L*

Danny,
I can't beg, borrow or steal a pair of nice correct front caps...so I am just cutting the centers out of 2wd caps for the front. I even use the 73-7?, same style, but with centers that dip in. |

Hubcaps
Here is a beautiful set. Not more than a few tiny dings. Pop out the centers and paint the bows blue. You have to cut out the centers on two for the front hubs.
They are $100 boxed & shipped. |

Nice looking truck. Could I ask a favor? I need a pic of how close your power brake unit is to you’re valve cover. I have some nice tall covers I want to use on my 454 but think they may hit. If you find time and don’t mind I would appreciate it

That is sharp looking. You have the same wheel/hubcap/tire size combo as I have on my '72 K5.

Great truck for you to build off of. When you have time, get a picture of the firewall valve cover area for me.

That is a thing of beauty! If by some freak of nature I could order a brand new 1972, that truck's got everything just right (even tho GM wouldn't have done the rat motor)!
Fine examples of trucking art like this are gonna get me in the same situation with my Missus as JIMs70GMC is taking about. But, keep 'em coming. You live once... SSOW
