Truck weights

What does your truck weigh ?? Not what the Title says, but it's actual weight..

And with the weight, what is it, IE: short step, short wide, long box etc..

My 69 SWB GMC, fleet side small block Th350, coi8l rear, with alluminum wheels, intake, and headers came in at 3900 and some chainge. This was with no spare, but a small tool box and normal minimal junk. I have a pic of the ticket on another computer...but not this one.

I knew they were around 4000 pounds, some of you have some great lower weight...

I weighed mine 14 or 15 years ago and it was a sort step, roll bar, front pre runner bar, 5 off road lights on top and 4 on the front bar, SmittyBuilt 3" double tube rear bumper, two High Lifts, ETC. and it was in the 4600 Lb. area.

I was curious to get an idea of what it might be now that it's lowered with all of the pre-runner stuff and off road stuff gone.

My longhorn tips the scales right @ 4240, with about 1/2 tank fuel, & my 220 lb @ss.....the old truck is pretty stripped tho! I run no air or heat, minus front bumper, & inner fenders, Jazz plastic buckets, alum heads & intake on the SB chev, She is rolling on 1/2 ton suspension......& no door glass. The things we do for fun the old truck runs pretty good(for a sled)! crazyL

Finally weighed my truck yesterday 10/23. It weighed 3900. SWB, iron head 350, tremec 5 spd, spare tire, small tool set, my 260lb a$$ and some misc. junk. I was surprised. I weighed my '98 ss camaro at the Motorplex and it was 3660lb. Not that much difference in imo.

With my 230-240lb butt in the driver's seat, a half-tank of gas, trailer hitch, '99 Suburban bench, headers, Vortec heads, aluminum intake, 700R4 tranny, and new carpet, right about 4250lb.

I hope to cut that by a good amount with the LS1/4L60E...going from an iron block with iron heads and an aluminum intake to an aluminum block with aluminum heads and a composite intake should do that.
