Assembly line/dealer photos
Does anybody have any interesting photos of our trucks on the assembly line or on a dealer's lot when they were new? I have found some on the web that depict some of the older body styles, but none for '67-'72.

The first pictures I posted are 67 prototype pictures. If you look carefully you can see some subtle differences between the pictures and a production 67.

Love those pics Tom. Honestly, I wish they would have kept the little bowtie in the center of the idiot light dash, and the glovebox release on the left hand side is kinda cool too. The lighter integrated into the dash cluster is cool too, when I was driving my truck I was a smoker, and I hated that lighter way over there on the other side of the heater controls (it's really hard to "flick a bic" when you're running 70 mph down the highway with "2-55" a/c
I used to have a pic of the 67 indy 500 service truck lineup (I think that's what it was), it was all '67 chevy trucks.....wish I could find it.

There was a pic I saved off of here (and promptly lost) of the Yenko dealership, with '68 trucks and camaros sitting outside. pretty sweet.

Those are really cool old pirctures of the AD and 57 trucks. I've never seen any assembly pictures of 67-72 trucks though. I'd love to see some too.

I love that center console, smooth center dash, and the offset gb button (that would be ALOT easier to open from the driver seat than stock). Sweet

Ha, they even had radio hackers back then.
I am glad they made the changes they did, some of the things in those pictures are ugly. Last edited by Gee_Emm; 10-07-2004 at 08:50 PM. |
