bad luck with new 355
took the block in to be tanked and honed..the bores still had cross hatches, almost just ran a hone threw it and called it good..glad I didnt..the block has 5 or 6 cracks all through it...from the water jackets at the deck to the intake valley..between head bolts...geeez.. im just so disapointed

man that sucks,i know what you mean-i traded off a good running 350 recently,i drove it for a month without problems,the guy that gets it rips it apart and is gonna have it built,well both heads cracked,so he calls me and asked if i had another set of heads,i scrapped all that crap,so i had to do a little changing of the trade,now ill owe him.Shoulda said AS IS,but i didnt know ran good,he got it tore it apart and had checked out,so why should he be expected to be stuck with them?so whats a guy to do?its only cast iron

Well that bites,but if everything else looks good, you can have anther block done & still be ahead of the game. good luck....69 longhorn.
