Stupid window problems
My driver window keeps falling off track.I have changed almost everything to try and fix it.But if I roll it down,it will not go back up.It slips out of the track on the back side.
I didn't replace the regulator, cause I figured it went up,and down, that was all it was called on to do,so I left it. I did change the back track, and the wing assembly, the window itself, hoping the track on the window was at fault, but still the same thing. It will roll down half way, then I have to rock the handle to get it to go down, and then it will not come back up. It also looks as if the window is in a bind, cause it is trying to dig into the wing channel, and pull out the felt, Anyone have a fix for this,I'm about ready to swap the door, and forget it.

Are the rollers intact? Sounds like one is broken or missing to me.

Yeah they are al there,I'm wondering if they are worn so much they are unusable though.
Maybe I'll swap the regulator today and see if it will work. And it's raining too,go figure

Did you remove the glass from the track the rollers ride in? did you get the glass back in the same position on the track?

I didn't remove the window from the track. In fact I swapped windows because the original one had fallen off.

Are all three of the rollers in? I'm sure you already checked, but I thought I would mention it, just in case!!

I got it fixed The weather stripping in the back channel was goobered.Someone trried to use 2 different pieces, and it would catch the track when I rolled it down.I replaced it,and all is good.
Lesson #1.Take nothing for granted when working on these old trucks.Check it 3 times before putting the eyecandy back together.
