Brainstorm before the Body Shop

My body shop guy called me today and he wants the truck in November!! I was planning on taking the truck in January so I am now scrambling to finish up my list of things to be done before he gets it.

I ordered my Vintage Air today and the outer and inner grill. I want to make sure the Air has all the appropriate mounting points as I have smoothed the firewall and the grill will ensure the fenders are aligned properly.

I'm brainstorming for other things I need to think about before it goes to the shop. Those of you who have done this have any ideas? Cheesy request maybe, but I'm excited!!!

I really can't add anything, I just wanted to say you're lucky to have a bodyman who's eager to get to work on your truck. Sounds as if he'll pay it the attention it deserves. What are your plans anyhow?

Truck Pic

My big plans are listed in my signature. I have been working on the truck off and on for two years. I have owned it for 17 years now and I am building a show truck, sunny day driver/trailer queen.

Next year we will add the Ram Jet 502 with the ol TH400. She has a 4/6 drop and I am planning on a set of 18" wheels. The truck will be the same color as the frame.

Lost Wages and I were building our trucks together until he won the lottery and finished his in about 6 months. I'm still broke and trying to build a 40K truck!! LOL

Man! Those are some thin sidewalls, but when you have the millions sittin around who needs tires?

Good tip on the holes in the doors for the wires!! I didn't have that on my list.

I am going with the same dash set up that you used Wages. Different gauges, but the same panel. I remember you cutting yours. I will hack that after she gets back. I still need to cut the radio hole in the dash.

I stopped by and paid for my Vintage Air today.....ouch! Can I borrow a mill or two man?

Wages, where did you buy your bolt kit from? Would you buy from them again?
