How rare?
Occasionally, I see the 67-72 short beds advertised as rare. Rare is a relative term so I am wondering if there are production #'s available to quantity "rare"?

They are very rare, in that they are rarely worth what is being asked for them.Because they are a desirable body style many people try to build up their rarity to get more money out of them. Also beware of the rare factory option 3 door Suburbans.

not really all that rare, in fact, if I remember correctly, the swb was the base model from the factory, the lowest option on the list. my truck was a longbed before somebody got happy with the torch and hacked it to make it a shorty.

Actually, since SWB trucks have one model number, and lwb trucks have another...there is no base model length. Same with step verses fleet, 4X4 verses 2 wheel drive, and inline verses V-8 verses V-6 (GMC only) They all have there own model numbers.
Rare is not acurate. Hard to find? Now that is easier to swallow. The problem is, everyone who has a SWB won't come off of them. |
