Cool FS 71 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 +plow in Pa

Ya, for sale my 71 gmc 4x4 I'll go though the good, the bad, and the ugly.

good:
It has a 350 runs good , 4 speed granny low trans and a 205

I intstalled a HEI dist. new plugs, and wires.

It has 2 sets of tires and rims an orig steel wheels and skinny like new tires and a set of black rims 16.5 x 9.75 with 33x12.50's 70% tread.

New set of mile marker lockouts.

90% of the hard brake lines to the rear replaced.

New master cyclinder and alternator.

new exhaust manifolds back.

extra grill and bumper and hood.

dana 60 rear Don't know the ratio but low.

Comes with a western power angle plow. I bought it off another forum member. I have it mostly installed you need to hang the plow brace and bumper.

Bad:

Needs brake booster I have one on order it's your's if I ever get it from pep boy's

Cab is in ok shape some patches and replacement floor panels. It's a PA truck folks.

Needs seat belt males.

Bench seat needs some work.

Has a wooden bed OK shape

had to rig up an ebrake setup seems to work should pass instection.

ugly:

The last few inches of frame kinda rotten. I have some new rear hangers coin toss if it really needs 'em.

The only thing stopping this from being on the road is the booster. I had great plans to use this as an off road rig -- winter plow truck -- daily driver and all around badass truck. I must be getting old 'cause I just can't find time or patience to work on it.

$1200 . I can get more pics just ask. SOLD THANKS DAVE

dropped price

I'm in Pa 18707

thanks

I'll post some more pics tomorrow when it's light. Anything special???? The front bumper is off at the moment. I was trying to mount the plow.

I also have more stuff I fixed or added or have laying around that goes with the truck. ex: extra fuel float, mirror spare tire....

thanks

Thanks

It looks in pretty good shape. Have you had it on the road or has it been under reconstitution for awhile?

Dave, I picked it up about 6 months ago from a farmer down the road right place right time??? He parked it last year. It had some brake issues. That's what I've been working on mostly to get it going. Brake booster was shot. Also the rear brake lines were ugly the PO removed the ebrake.

I did the normal stuff and some upgrades. Replace valve cover gaskets, ingition. I ran about 3 tanks of gas though it. Diving it on the back roads it doesn't stop well without the brake booster.

Not long after I picked up the truck, my priorities changed and time frames got shifted and our spare bedroom will soon be filled.

Well it's no show truck. It does have PS and PB.

thanks

Any offers???

I would concider trades. Either on a swb 2 wheel drive pre 80's pickup or even a car from the same era, but it needs to be ready to run.

Dropped price to $1200. I'd like to move it before the snow flies or it gets parked in the back till next spring.

Still for sale. I pm'd a couple of folks. I also have some up dates.

I found a 5th black rim to match the other four - no tire.

I broke the front drivers side hard brake line I have it pinched off for now.
I was unable to get a new power booster from pep boy's.

PS and disc up front.

Last time I started the truck after it got warm it would smoke (grey/white) in a throttle off condition. I mean when I would let off the gas at higher RPM's it would smoke. Not sure I think it's the intake manifold. There is no mixing of fluids.

I'm still asking $1200 or a trade on a 2wd pickup 67-87 prefer standard shift in running condition.

Thanks and sorry for the delay Scotth and I just couldn't work out a shipping arrangement.

Thanks again

Truckman,

long wheelbase. 3/4ton

4x4 works fine new lockouts. Hi and LO work. Although I've only driven it around the yard.

The frame very well could have been cut shorter. That pic has a patch there. The rest of the frame is good. It's kinda "thin" in the back on the frame. I have a set of used hangers that goes with the truck. The bolts are solid but the gussets are beat. Although the local shop said it would pass.

The outside sheetmetal is in very good shape. The rear cab supports are rough. Looks like the floors have been replace alond with the rockers and cab corners. Not a professional job but not the worst I've seen. I will do my best with pics. I'll send them out later today.

Thanks truckman

dwaite72lnghrn It's kinda yucky. The PO welded new peices on it at the very end . The part of the frame that the perches attach is OK not great. The worst of it is at the very end.

I really didn't plan an doing anything to the frame right away. I got the perches just in case I came along a hunk of frame. Tops of the Frame is good it's the bottom of the "c" up to the rear cross member. My plan was to lop off the yuck and bolt on some new "c" channel starting before the perches back to the bumper.

thanks
