What tranny is this for?
I saw a thread a few months ago about tranny linkage. It showed 2 or 3 pieces that mount to the truck. Is this frame bracket for a 400 turbo or a 350 turbo?
Thanks

I went back and checked the 68 service manual and it looks like that bracket was used for a 400 turbo. Found a pic.

I'm not sure but both prolly use the same bracket. It's mainly the location of the modulator, and the size of the tailshaft that is different on hte 350\400.Apperance wise that is.

There is a special frame bracket for BBC w/T400. Don't know that you have to have it but only that the factory used it. Istead of having what I call a wide mount, the BB/T400 uses a narrow mount with both ears pointing down. It is about 1/3 the width of the bracket shown. Must have to do with the combined length of the BB/T400 and the location of the shifter stud(tranny side) on the frame rail.
I have found this bracket on all BB/T400 trucks in the wrecking yards.
