2 tone chrome trim question

Hi there. I want to paint my truck in a 2 tone blue and white scheme, but am wondering how to add the thin chrome trim strip on the cab (just below back window) that seperates the blue color from the roof white color. My truck is a base model so there is no divider...how do I do add this?

The molding and clips are available from LMC and I am sure other vendors will have the parts needed, also.

The original clips were held in place with small pins that were welded to the cab. I am not sure if these pins are available but you could also use small
sheet metal screws to hold the clips.

If you need any measurements or pics of the pins, I have a cab with the pins exposed.

Thanks for the response..this place is great for getting questions answered! If you have time, a pic and or some measurements would be great. I cannot weld, so I will have to tell the welder where to place the pins.

You could also use screws. Drill a small pilot hole and use stainless screws to cut down on the rust factor.

There are 12 pins and for illustration purposes, they are designated 1 thru 12 starting from the left side. I used the body line below the pins for a reference. The pins are arranged so that the right side is a mirror of the left.

Verticle distances from body line: pins 1,2,11,12 are 1 5/8" from body line

pins 3 thru 10 are 1 1/2" from body line

Horozontal dimensions, (left side listed only, right side is like a mirror)

pin 1 is 1" from left door opening edge

pin 2 is 3 3/4" from pin 1

pin 3 is 5 1/8" from pin 2

pin 4 is 9 1/2" from pin 3

pin 5 is 9 1/2" from pin 4

pin 6 is 8" from pin 5
