Replacement Distributors
I am studying to upgrade my point type dis to HEI. I know one option is to pick up one from juck yard and use a rebuild kit. Other option is to get a new one ofcourse. As far as new one goes, do you have any preferance for Accel versus mallory and Cardone? Kragen sells Cardone which is around 100 $ and gives lifetime warranty on it. Accel with model number 59107C come with coil and cost about 136$ and is brand new. Mallory with part number 8548201c is about 160$ which is brand new too. I put the part number if it helps.
By tye way if we shope from jeg or summit, do they give us discount? If not, is there any board vendor which sells these things? Thanks for the info. Happy Halloween. |

use what you have, stock base, and convert to an ignitor setup. It will cost 75 bucks look like original and run like an HEI, without the Hei cost or look or wiring- not that that is a big deal. I love mine and no one knows but me and everyone else on the board now.

That's exactly what I plan on doing Harold, good to hear a review of the Ignitor points to HEI conversion kit. I wasn't sure how well these things were put together. I think I should install new bushings in my dist. first though since it's a little sloppy and didn't run too smooth.
