69 SWB GMC for sale
Selling my short/fleet GMC (chevy front clip)
It does run, but knocks like crazy once warmed up. The TH350 bolted up to it was rebuilt in 97 and has maybe 30K on it sence then. Never slipped once, fluid been chainged every year...is leaking a little though. B&M 1900 RPM converter. once piece drive shaft. Hooker comp headers. coil spring rearw/3.07 gears. Van tilt installed w/later 4 spoke GM wheel. edelbrock performer intake edelbrock 750/manual choke carb manual drum brakes in need of help big block engine towers. (dunno why, onless they were also V-6 towers) Buy it, slap a motor in it, do some brake work and have a fun daily driver/beater. If you want a truck to restore, this one needs lots of work. Most body panels almost look good at first sight, and look worse up close. Come and get it in columbus ohio, need a trailer or tow bar. Even though I can fire it up and move it, the headers are open and I'm selling it as not driveable. I might be able to deliver a short distance...100 miles or less. $650 as it sits, add 100 bucks and you can have the tow bar, tail light harness and safety chain. I'll get pics soon hopefully. Please answer w/questions, comments, pic requests...ect, on this thread, not in my PM box or e-mail. You'll get a quicker responce here anyways. Payable w/cash,money order, postal money order...can store here for a short period of time, not very long though. It is dead and parked on the street. Oh yea....home done LED tail lights and a very pretty engine with some cheap (but nice) chrome...if any of that is important.
power steering Int reg alt HEI new-ish starter and fuel pump.... New-ish rad...kinda bent, but still works great. I'll think of more later. No tire kickers please. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 11-01-2004 at 12:30 AM. |

What kind of shape is the box in? Rusty? Dents? I have 3 running motors but only one truck with good sheet metal!

The bed is all there, I'll asume lots of filler, and dented in on both quarter panels. The floor is almost perfectly solid, but very wavey.
Straight tailgate, but it too just looks better than what it really is. |

rage'nrat638...it has a knocking 305 in front, and at the moment, a milkshake making 350 in the back. But I plan on getting the 350 out of there along with all the other crush weight back there.

Trades...not likely. You can try to tempt me, but I need cash more than anything else right now. |

OK, here's a few...need to get more. Most came out like crap, had the digi-cam on the wrong setting.
First pic...69 chevy grill & fenders. (Actually fenders are 71/72) Messed up GMC Bumper. ignore the black brackets on the bumper and the wires...tow bar towing stuff. Pic #2 This is the only rust holes in the bed. Like I said, minimal. There are a few drilled too, but nothing over 1/4 inch. #3 inside cab roof rust. #4 rear coils....VERY nice trailing arms. Probably the best you'll find in this part of the country...I think there is maybe a one inch spot where there is rust between the 2 halves...been a while since I looked...when I replaced the U-bolts...but none the less....very nice arms. While hose shocks look terible, they work great. (new ones up front) #5 the straight bumper that I kinda don't want to sell...but it is bolted there right now and I have no place to store it. It is an original '70 bumper, not repro. Minimal damage and wear...as an original used part, I would gove it an 8 or so out of 10. You can also see the guard rail damage from the blow out I had 6 or so weeks ago. (on the lincoln) I'll see if it isn't too dark for more pics. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 11-01-2004 at 08:08 PM. |

Here's a bunch more
#1 It has mis matched rims..these are the front (notice the tread....dam near new tires up front) rims off a 70's jeep cherokee or something. #2 engine from drivers side. Note the new heater hoses, many clamps, you can see the new plugs sticking out of the boots, the new-ish rad, the 2 year old (I think) Interstate battery... #3 Passenger side...clutch fan, wide belt drive off 87 burb on alt... #4 Edelbrock 750 manual choke performer series carb. HEI with new cap and roter.... .1/2 mile on both. #5 Closer shot of belt set up...brand new t-stat housing...o-ring type, Mr Gasket brand. Edelbrock performer intake just cleaned, hand made alluminum block off plates for choke and EGR. |

#1 AUX tranny cooler...off 88 ford ranger. Cleaned out 100% before used on this tranny
#2 Rear wheels....old turbines. Matching ones come up from time to time on e-bay...6 lug, 15 X 9.5 ...275/60 tires on the back...this is the drivers side...it still has tread, it is about 3 yrs old. #3 Note the tilt, newer 4 spoke wheel, carpeting (kinda crappy) in dash aftermarket acc guages (all work but the AMP, not hooked up) Nice 6 month old seat cover, over blue stock '70 seat. Seat is in decent shape, a spring or two need work and a cover...out of a 70 CST...so it is a non flip and full foam unit. Chevrolet rubber floor mats, couple soft spots on the floor, but no holes in floor that I am aware of. (You can see some light where kick panels meet the floor though) The bare foot pedal comes off...I'm keeping that. Working heat, working am/fm cassette pull out stereo with no speakers...you can hardly hear the radio anyways. Lots of crap in there that will be pulled out. (stuff on the floor and seat...not talkin parts) #4 Factory installed, never removed VIN plate. Matching title in my name ready to be sighned over. #5 Better pic of the seat cover. '70 CST door panels, were blue, dyed black, look almost decent. |

#1 Straight tailgate.
#2 Crappy bottom of tailgate. Some sheet metal rust too that you couldn't see on the outside panel. #3 poor quality pic due to low lighting #4 Same thing. #5 mr Horse power rocks. But the small hole in the door blows. There is another one at the back of the drivers door. (door removed from Blue CST...lower trim holes still there for wood trim) |

(Out dated pic) it cruises at a good RPM on the freeway...
Even at this speed... (I had it to the 'm' In MPH on the bottom of the speedo...but no pic. ) LED tail lights... And brake lights... Factory High hump cab floor. Most of you know....this is the Blue CST I refered to. My first Longhorn. I'll see if I can find more after I eat. |

More pics...mostly different angles
Up high... from the right rear Don't worry about the decision on cutting the dash or not cutting it... The one piece drive shaft (4 foot 10 inches) and the proper style short shaft TH350. I had it removed to install the 1900 RPM converter. |

Quick question? Have you painted the truck red or black because some of the pics are red and some are black? Just curious. Also are you considering any trades?

It was red, with the correct GMC front end, and now black primer with a 69 Chevy front end.
I'm not planning on accepting any trades, but you can try anyways. You may convince me to do so. Randy, going on 4 years with it...time to let it go, gotta get the Longhorn out of *her* driveway and on the road. |

I want it.
Would you consider a trade for a new aluminum Marin mountain bike with Shimano LX and XT parts with disc brakes?
