Help Please...transmission identification
does someone know where you can look up the ser.# of auto transmission?
i have 15z452064 and i like to know what it came out of. also have the build #of y5p30d |

thanks, but i know it is a th350, i want to know what it came out of.
the way this # y5p30d is telling me the 5 is the year but with the ser# there sould be a way to tell what it was used in. |

First off where are the two numbers you posted found on the tranny? The second number is decoded as follows Toledo, 1975 or 1985, September 30th, Day shift. To tell what the tranny came out of look on the 1-2 accumulator, the governor cover, the oil pan or a plate on right side of case for a number preceded by two letters the letters will tell what car it came from.
