Original side mirrors?
My glove box sheet saws Truck originally had the option 40298F RV Mir L and R for the outside rear views. Since it started life as a IL6 farm truck with virtually no options I'm sure these are plain, but I don't know what they look like. Anyone out there have any photos of a 40298F RV Mirror?
Thanks

If it doesn't state Jr or Sr West coast mirrors then it's probably the small round style as on this red beauty here. Those are the standard mirrors for 67/68, except your truck had them on both sides (L & R) as opposed to the standard LH side.
Do your doors have the holes drilled for them? Red beauty

The only other option in 67/68 are the west coast style as on this truck. They mount on the window frame and on the door below the window glass

West Coast ? ? ?
The only exterior mirror I have now is the tripod mount on the left side. There are filled in holes on both doors on the upper frame by the vent window, sooooo, I think at one time it had the west coast mirrors on it.
I just want mirrors on both sides, that match, and are big - its a small rear window cab and has huge blind spots.

That is the "below eyeline" mirror. It's a 71-72 truck mirror for sure. It might have started earlier sometime in 69-70. You have the smallest frame of the 3 below eye line sizes. The next larger frame has the top mounting bracket that points down. The largest were the camper mirrors. If you don't find somone with one nice and close I know I have some with good mirror heads I would sell.

Thanks . . . Previous owner did it, but it is EXACTLY the color I wanted. Its a "perfect ten" paint job. Looks perfect from 10 feet away . . . but has runs etc. But it looks good now while I do the stuff that never shows (new 4 core radiator, fix bad HEI wiring, add 3 point belts, get proper pwr steering placement kit installed, get power steering box rebuilt, etc, etc...)
When I get done with all the mechanical improvements I'll attack the hidden rust and get a really good paint job, in the same colors as now. Although I'd just like it all done NOW, the journey is kind fun. Thanks for the kind words
