Speakers
Has anyone used the replacement speaker for the dash location? I am looking at the single speaker that takes 2 channels. How does it sound? Also has anyone used the kick panels made for speakers? Do they get in the way of the vents / AC / parking brake? Do you need to be careful with what size speaker / type you can use?

I got one of the dual voice coil in one speaker setups from CAS and it sounds like cr*p.If you have the room(noA/C) I would fab something up for two good smaller speakers.
Don't know about KP speakers I used 6X9 in doors(cut by PO already).

I bought the Custom Autosound dual voice coil speaker for the original dash location. It doesn't fit properly. The sound for am is okay, disappointing for fm and cds. I also bought the kick panels with speakers. I think they are 6-1/2". I did not pay extra for the speaker upgrade, perhaps I should have. The sound gets lost down there in the kick panel area. The system is lacking in bass response. I am dead set against any products from this company.
The biggest thing you need to do is sound deadening if you are trying to get any kind of quality from your sound system. It's not going to sound like what you get from new cars. These were built as work trucks. I don't have a foot emergency brake or ac so I can't answer those questions for you.
