Line X or Rhino Liner
Has anyone sprayed the underside of their cab with Line X or Rhino Liner? I just finished the rust repair on my cab and want to seal it up. I am thinking of having the underside sprayed with one of these liners. I was wondering if anyone has done it and how it turned out?

from what i have heard its pretty heavy material, you could always go with rubberized undercoating

For what it's worth, I like the appearance of line-X personally, but I think it would be (expensive) overkill on the bottom of a truck. Just use some good epoxy primer or one of the moisture curing urethanes like POR-15 and paint.

I have rhino liner.
In my 3/4 ton truck,I have rhino liner and it was done in june of 200 right after i bouught the truck. The guy sprayed it on about 1/4 inch thick all over the inside of the bed. Totally non slip even when wet.
I definetly plan on rhino lining my 70 c10 as I plan on using it as a truck and not for show. I may do the bottom side of the bed as well. As a side note, Troy Trepanier recently built a early 70's cuda and rhino lined the bottom side of the car as a protective barrier and sound deadner. He called it rhino liner by name on the "rides" tv show. I have looked at several brands of spray in liner since purchasing mine, and I would go with rhino liner again, due to thickness and non slip surface. Rhino linings can even do some basic colors, if you do not want black.

Jugernot,
I have an Armorthane bedliner dealership down here in SE Kansas , and I've sprayed several trucks down here with the material including the bottom of the cabs and bed. it works out really well. they tend to pick up alot of mud and trash , but it also hoses right off and looks clean and shiney all over again. it is heavy but not even noticible as for as robbing you of power. I also have alot of request to do the bottom of the body lines as a gaurd against rock chips that really blends in and looks good on most of the newer trucks that seem to be a little thin on paint anyway. so my suggestion would be to go for it if your trucks allready tore down, if not it's a pain in the butt to spray under there and keep the material off of everything else. Rowdy.

I know a guy who sandblasted the underside of his Chevelle and Line-X'd it and it looks awesome. I like the Line-X texture.

I've had both, and IMHO Line-X was the better liner,

line x is a lot more durbale than rhino liner. If you take a small peice of line x and rub itover a surface with rhino liner on it, it will scratch the rhino liner.

Line-X
I just had dads truck bed sprayed with Line-X in Sept. It turned out very nice. Looks tough, haven't tested it yet.

I have done a bit of research on this and after doing 2 truck beds in rhino lining, i have noticed that the color fades over time and it chips. now color might not matter to you, but when a charcoal gray bed liner turns green after 4 years, that sucks.
now with Line-X, you can spray it with a top/clear coat equivalent and give it some extra protection from the sun/uv rays so it will not fade, plus it is less likely to chip. it also has a smoother texture than rhino lining. because of these 3 reasons and the fact that i am building my truck for heavy off roading, i have sprayed the ENTIRE truck in Line-X. the top-bottom-inside-outside, 100% complete. it added about 250 lbs. of weight to the truck and just looks mean. i am very satisfied with the results and can not wait to test my new armor plating. i should get a big improvement with sound deadening and heat reduction as well. basically choose Line-X

Line-X is definately superior. It uses a"hot"application process. It levels better and no"cottage cheese"look. They offer a UV protectant.I had the dark gray put in my bed and on my ladder-racks in 2000,still looks great.

I used to apply Rhino at an old job, and never liked it. I have the bed of my 03' Chevy sprayed with Line-X. It is far better in wear and appearance than anything else I have seen or sprayed.

I used Line-x after a friend of mine had his Rhino lining turn grey and green. Not attractive. My Line-x in my 2002 GMC still looks new.
