86 GMC Sierra 1500 (Suburban ?) value ?
I am a pick up guy, but noticed there was a division for the Suburbans on this site, don't know anything about them myself, but today on the way to Houston I saw an 86 GMC (do they call the GMC's Suburbans as well?) for sale on a lot in a hick town, went back and looked. some minor dings, only rust was along panel to the bottom rear of both rear wheel wheels, (excluding the light coat of brown on the roof?) 5.7 liter cranked and ran very smooth, good interior..guy was asking $1200..is this in range?
then as I continued on about 20 miles later say an even better looking early 80's Suburban in the corner of the pasture next to this guy's house with a for sale sign on it..no one home but plan on going back... what's the demand level on these? thanxz, bob

The current top end of the blue book on my '86 Chevy Suburban is about $3,500. I've got a 2WD 1/2-ton with about 134,000 miles. It's in Silverado trim with front buckets and the 3rd bench seat. No rear A/C.
$1,500 would be a decent price with some rust and in average to fair mechanical condition.
