just wondering

ok, I was just thinking here. my 79 had a Holley 4360 450cfm*not by choice *. is there any chance that came stock OR spec. ordered? because heres my thinking, I know that our trucks came with a spredbore q jets. but chances are, my carb isn't a spredbore carb. and by the looks of it, I don't see any adapters, because wouldn't that make the carb stand taller then stock? and it doesn't look like its a different manifold. and when I had my truck worked on by a mechanic that I trust VERY much, was kinds surprised at how "stock/factory" the carb looked. the reason I am asking is because I want to sometime put a q jet on there. and would like things to go as smoothly as passable. thank you for your help.......... matt.

GM never used a Holley on the 73-87 trucks.

Oh no I dident. I dident get a email reminder. thank you love that site too. I cant wait till I can get a q jet. that carb isent much of a performer and its geting to the point where you press on the gas and the truck almost dies cause it acts like you flooded it then Wham! it just takes off. and only does it from a stop. and the fast idle is gone so I have to press on the gas to keep the truck going when its cold. haha and defenitly cant wait for the bump in MPG's with the qjet..... thanks again, matt

You're welcome, but this isn't Matt. He transfered the site to me last year instead of shutting it down.
