last month after i finally got the blazer up and runnin, we went out and tried out the four wheel drive at my buddies dairy. she climbed up in idle goin forward. so we turned her around and i was gonna back up the hill, but when my rear end was elevated, a weird knocking/rubbing/bumping sound came from the engine. so i just pulled down.
then when i had to hit the brakes hard last week, the noise came again. so there seems to be something falling forward in the engine compartment, i was thinkin the fan. any ideas?

Sounds to me like your fan is hitting the shroud. Check and see if the shroud is secured at the bottom where it rests against the rad support

well i bought an electric fan and removed the mechanical and shroud and the noise is still there. it feels and sounds like its comin out from around the TC.
ever heard of it? any other ideas?
