Some pics of the new 20's,the dog and my bike.

The rims i got used off an escalade from a guy at fall Carlise,Pa. They're AmericanRacing 621's 20X9.
Offered in hubcentric or standard.The tires are Kumho 275/40/20. I got them at Discount tire off the internet for $185 each. I tried 275/45's but they were just alittle too tall, i was looking for more of a squared off look tire without going to a ultra low profile. I did alot of research on this to come up with the look i was going for and i found it.

The rims fit fine on the front, cept i had to grind alittle on the hub around the outer bearing to let the wheel fit. On the rear i had to use 1/2" spacers to position the wheel, (Probly could of used 3/4")

But to used the spacers i had to install longer studs, to install the studs i had to have a machine shop enlarge the stud holes alittle to accept the Moroso studs. Then, when fitting the wheels i found i had to trim 1/4" off the rear studs to make them the right length.
I called Summit and they said that they don't have an application for our trucks (67-72)for longer wheel studs.

In all i still consider these rims a bolt-on deal, with alittle work.

It was worth the work. They look great! Can i inquire about the drop you have on the truck? Your truck has the EXACT stance i'm going for and i also wanted to use 20's with more than a rubber band on them. Could i get a profile close up of the rims and the wheelwell to see the proportions better.

I can get these new for $255 each at the local tire shop. It's the best price i've found so far.

I had another rim in mind but the stance and tire/rim size is dead on for what im wanting to do. What amount of drop do you have on your truck?

Hubcentric= The centerbore of a wheel is machined so the size of the hole on the back of the wheel actually centers the wheel properly on the hub.
With a hubcentric wheel, the lug hardware will not be supporting the weight of the vehicle, all they really do is press the wheel against the hub of the car. Some wheels use high quality, forged centering rings (hubcentric rings)that lock into place in the back of the wheel.

If you have non-hubcentric (lugcentric) wheels, they should be torqued correctly while the vehicle is still off of the ground so they center properly. The weight of the vehicle can push the wheel off-center slightly while you're tightening them down if left on the ground.....

My truck has a ECE 4/6 drop with a disc brake conversion. I think my research paid off as i got the stance and tire profile i was after. I firmly believe that any vehicle can be made to look good with the right stance. I go to the F100 Supernats in Knoxville every year in May and see countless big money show trucks that either sit too high or low in the front or rear, or have the wrong rim and tire profile. Most guys have their F100's slammed in the front and way up in the back. I want to bust out my tools and fix their ride height problem on the spot. LOL

I'll get some better pics when the suns out.

I didn't spray the paint, but in a couple months i'm gonna shoot both my truck and my bike the House of kolors Tangelo orange pearl. Then, i'm going to try my hand at spraying the realistic looking flames on my bike and the truck.

It should be cool when i'm done.

How is the braking and ride with the 20's? I here the braking is pretty bad. Have you hauled your bike in that with the 4'6 drop?

I've hauled my bike around with the 4/6 drop, the only problem i ran into was my exhaust laying on the rearend housing when loaded. My truck really could use a helper bag setup for the bike's weight. I drove to northern Va to have AA speed rebuild&regear the rearend from 3.73's to 3.08 w/ an Auburn posi unit. I recommend the 3.08's if you cruise on the hwy like i do. The truck handled and rode fine up there and back. I have no problems stopping my truck with the 20's, as a matter of fact it'll throw ya thru the windshield if you brake to aggressively. The handling's better with the bigger rims/shorter sidewall, i don't have rubber band size tires so the ride is good too.

Yeah I thought about the rear bag setup as a helper. I will call ECE when I get closer, to explain what I need and see what they suggest
