heres what my door panels look like what would u guys do paint em body color? cover them in tweed and make a lower panel to cover the speaker as well or just leave it as it is?

I'd leave it. Maybe add some black carpet to the bottom of the door and a speaker grille, but that's about it.

haha its cheap mans dynamat or as it was already mentioned ya it is cardboard, the reason im wanting to change them is because the damn seatbelts keep hitting and chipping the paint on em

Personally, I'd cover them in vinyl as close to body color as I could get and sew in vertical double seams for appearance--JMO

I would surely cover those ugly a$$ speakers with carpet.

Or take the seatbelts out:p

OK covering them might be the best option

A nice fabric matching the interior,and some carpet on the bottom of the door would look nice.IMO.

you could go out and score some factory vynil covered one in black or blue and call it done.

I personally don't like the carpet or fabric look Door Panels or Door Bottoms so I would try to find a way to do without them. I have the same issue of my seat belt hitting the Door Bottom (not so much the Door Panel)and chippin the paint.

The only thing I've really done is learn to "help" my seat belt find it's way back into the retractor in most cases...well and I'm not proud of this but also not wearing the belt in the first place (on rare occasion yes this is true, but not a daily habit).

With that said tho, I think it looks great with the exception that a speaker cover may be nicer (and will avoid anything from denting the cone of the speaker). You have a great looking interior and I think the Black Door Panel will look better going all one colour.

Get an upholstery shop to cover the panels to match the seat.Then lower carpet to match floor.I don`t mind speakers in doors.Where else do you put them.The factory didn`t put"stereos"in these trucks back then.Then,when they did,they tryed all these locations w/odd-sized speakers.Then,ended up w/speakers in the doors...6 1/2"round.They didn`t have radial tires from the factory either.
