Arrrgh! Wrong bumper brackets.

I finally got around to putting my new(er) bumper back on my '70 C-10. I get started, only to find out that I have the wrong outer brackets. & I cleaned them up & painted them as well. Oh well. The are too long for my 70, I believe I pulled them off of a 71-72 bumper that was sitting in a local junkyard.

So, am I truly crazy, or was I wrong in assuming that 69-70 have different size outer bumper brackets than a 71-72?

71 -72 chev's are longer due to the signals in the front bumper.

You could get away with any chev or gmc pretty much 68-72 in the gmc line and 68-70 for chev..were talking 2wd here I assume.

Yup, 2wd. Well if that ain't just a kick in the head.

Oh well, I know someone who would be happy to put them to good use.
