control arm bushings
can you change these style bushings to the newer style urathane ones??? what does it take??? are these ones better since they are greasable???

There's no way to retrofit the urethane bushings into that type of control arm.
But, the steel type of bushing that you have there actually are firmer than the urethane type are, plus, since you can service them with grease, they will last longer.
