still need shock opinion
not much response over in the suspension area.Do the bell tech nitro active not the nitro drop handle and ride good, or should I spend the extra money and get the edelbrock shocks.I am looking to do a 5/7 drop and I want a shock that has good ride quality

The shock will serve to dampen the spring action of your suspension. Your suspension will be stiff since you are dropping the truck. Depending upon the type of driving you will be doing you may prefer a very stiff shock as well...I do. A loose shock (less dampening) will allow the truck to bounce more. You might want to consider an adjustable shock that will allow you to adjust the stiffness of the shock (dampening action). I use Rancho adjustable shocks (three settings) for that very reason. There may be other adjustables out there that will allow you to do the same thing. I have not used either the Nitros or the Edelbrock shocks. I suspect Edelbrock is made by someone else...what does Vic know about suspension...LOL! Just my .02!

I like to use KYB gas-a-just mono tube shocks for lowered and stock rides. Used them on a few drops including the 6/8 drop on my 94 extended cab. Have them on it now also and it is back to stock height. Pretty good shock for the money IMO.
