side trim removal
I am going to be removing the trim to start paint and body work. How do you remove the upper and lower trim on a cheyenne without messing up the trim pieces?

Well, I know that almost all of it is bolted on, just remove all the nuts that hold it on and be careful when taking it off. I can take all of the lower bed trim and fender trim off my truck just by crawling under it and using a 3/8" endwrench. It's kinda hard to get to the fender trim though. I haven't tried taking the upper trim off yet so I'm not sure about that stuff.

Some of the clips are glued on to the truck too. A flexible putty knife will work well on those.

Don't know on our trucks specifically, cuz mine doesn't have any, but usually, they are screwed in front and rear, and I've just slid them off, exposing the remaining retainers.

Most of the clips on the upper trim are push in type.I take a small flat screwdriver and stick it between the molding and the body and just push the tabs together and it will come out.The end clips have nuts on them.
